Do you ever wish your children came with a 'HOW TO" manual? Well we created one :) Our next Teleseminar is happening this Thursday!
If you could ask Rick and Leisa any question about parenting what would it be?
We are providing Parents with an opportunity to submit questions they have about parenting, and on Thursday March 25th 7:00 MST we will answerthose questions on our free Teleseminar.
Send us your question at http://www.fuseathome.000a.biz/ before March 25 and we will meet you on the call.
We have February's recording posted at www.fusefamilyfocus.com. We gave some solutions for parents regarding family matters. :) it is free:)

My middle child is actually 18 months old and he still takes naps. How I get him to nap is by playing with him for 30 to 60 minutes with him before the nap. I'll give him some warmish milk right before and then take him up to the "big boy bed" and put him down. I'll normally sing him something or read a quick book and then give him a kiss and leave the room. Some days he fights it, but for the most part he is asleep within 5 to 10 minutes and is usually down for 2 hours. He still goes to bed at 7:30pm. Oh, his names are usually around 10:45am.

HI I wrote a discussion on Naps, but I can post it here as well.
I am a grandma now, but when my little girls were toddlers the afternoon naps ended around 16 mos, or a bit later because I was finding that when they napped in the afternoon they wouldn't be ready to go to sleep at nite until 9pm and I really valued my evening time. Sometimes it was difficult to keep them awake thru the evening meal, but a gentle face wipe with a cool cloth helped them to make it thru dinner. Then I would begin the bedtime routine between 6-630. First was playtime in the bathtub, fun interaction with siblings and mom!! Next came getting the diapers and PJs on and drying and brushing hair, and brushing teeth. With clean little people all hugged and loved at the end of their day we would snuggle together to read some books and around 7pm all the little peeps were tucked away for a great nights sleep!
Oh those were the choicest of day. I do miss all my little toddlers. My 4 daughters are close in age, the first two 16.5 mos apart the third one 20 months after #2 then the last one 21 months after #3. So from top to bottom they are 4 and 3/4 years apart. It was a fun time, exhausting yes, but oh how precious they are at that innocent age.
Now the girls are all women, the eldest just turned 26 this month. Motherhood seems to become more challenging as they get older, their life choices have more impact on their lives and you pray that all that you taught them is taking root.
So enjoy your time with your little one, and maybe try getting her to bed before 7 at night. If she is needs more sleep than that, try some quiet time after lunch and spend that time reading some books together on her bed. If she is needing the sleep she will most likely fall asleep with a few stories and if not, be patient this too will pass and only too quickly. You will never regret the time you have spent with your child. NEVER!!
